I wanted to finish the conversation we were having about everything being spiritual, before we get started lets review real quick. We first looked at the creation of humans. We said that when God created us to do so in infused his spirit inside of dirt. So in the beginning we were a harmony of spirit and dirt. Perfectly in tune with God and ourselves. We were whole. Everything about us was Good. then when humans sinned it did something catastrophic to our wholeness. It brought death into a living being. The bible plainly says God cannot be present were sin is at, but because of his immeasurable love for us he remained in us splitting by forcing the sin into the dirt. This means that God is inside of us literally holding us together. We were a split being death and life in the same form.
Now knowing all this i think causes us to ask a very important question. Can we be Whole again? The answer is of course yes. again the love of our savior, creator, is absolutely amazing. The answer to the problem of separation is Jesus. IN romans it said that Jesus did what the law only tried to do. He brought the dirt back to life. If I am being honest I don’t really understand this but It was the bible says. Jesus by living a perfect sinless life, died and was resurrected made us whole again. He gave us the opportunity to be connected with our father again. He conquered the one thing that was in the dirt Death. This is an amazing love. I said all of that to say this, our heavenly Father wants so badly for us to be whole and connected to him again, that he sent his Son to go through the pain of being separated and conquered the death of dirt for us. I find this absolutely amazing. Our Heavenly Father loves us this much. What do you do with that kind of love?

THE DISCONNECT
In continuing with this line of thinking we have been discussing, “Everything is spiritual.” It raises a lot of questions. One particular is, if everything thing is spiritual why didn’t I know this already? I mean why did it take study and conversation for me to know this? I know inherently that i am flesh/dirt. Why don’t I know inherently that I am spirit. And on top of that If i am always spiritual why don’t I feel it. Why is there this disconnect? why is it that sometimes I feel spiritual and sometimes i feel dirty? If i am this universally unique being that is a God’s spirit infused in dirt why don’t I feel God’s spirit and dirt at the same time?
These are really important questions, especially if we buy into this thought process of being always spiritual. And I think the reason we feel a disconnect, is because there is a disconnect. Seriously, the reason we feel like a split being is because we are split being. If you read about the first sin when adam and eve ate the apple or orange or whatever it was eve looked at the serpent and told him if we eat this apple we will die. (Gen 3) Now before we go any further i need to set up a bottom line principle, God is all good and cannot be where sin is at. So if we believe that God should have immediately pulled himself out of the adam and eve and the human race should have seized to exist. BUt we didn’t why? well to figure that one out we had to look at Romans 8:3. It says that god did something that was again universally unique, Instead of pulling his spirit out of the dirt because of out digestion of sin, he imprisoned the sin/death into the flesh/dirt, so that we as human beings didn’t instantly turn back to dirt. this makes complete sense. Everyone knows that after a certain age we are slowly dying. (See the drawing to help understand this) I know that is a pleasant happy thought, but this should cause us to realize two things. first we should understand now why we have this disconnect or war inside of us. the death of the dirt is fighting the life of the spirit. This is why we sometimes feel spiritual and sometimes feel dirty. Paul wrote described it like this, When I want to do good evil is present, and what i want to do i don’t do, and i do what i don’t want to do. (Romans 7) Second thing that should occur to us realizing this is that God is literally on the inside of you and I holding us together, keeping the dirt alive. This should makes us feel humbled and surprised to be loved, that is what we are Loved. Our Heavenly father loves us so much, that even in our worst most embarrassing moments he is on the inside of us keeping us from falling apart, because he loves us and believes in us. He believes in us. There are no words to respond to that. God is holding me together because he believes in me and loves me more than i can imagine. You got me why?

Everything Is Spiritual
we have been talking about this idea that everything is spiritual. there is never any time in our lives that God is not there. Which means that there is never any moment that is more spiritual than the next. This is a new thought for most of us because we like to think of life in segments, like in an ice tray. THink about it for a sec, have you ever made ice cube popsicles? it the same thing we take some Tang dust (i love Tang) and sprinkle a little bit in each section of the tray. In our life its like you have sports dust in a couple of sections, Home dust in a couple of sections, school dust in a couple of sections, then if your a christian you put jesus dust in a couple of sections. While this is a nice organizational tactic it doesn’t work very well in our connection to god. if you look in Job 34:14 Job says if god took his spirit from us we would turn into dust. So to think we can segment god into a section of our tray is wrong and I think a little insulting to God. I think the way god wants it, is not like ice cubes of tang but a pitcher of tang. You take your dust and merge it with the god (or in this tang analogy Water) until the point you can not discern the difference to where God ends and we begin. I really believe this is how Jesus wants it, and designed it. If you look at the creation of human beings in genesis 2. God took some dirt from our home (Earth) put himself inside the dirt and out came adam. God is always present. He is always there. Even in those moments we are most embarrassed and ashamed of god was standing right there beside us. That puts a new perspective on our life. When we are in boring history class God is just as present as when we are in church.
